About Us

Welcome to Edward Best Elementary School, home of the Panthers!  We are a Pre-K - 5 school located in the beautiful countryside outside of Louisburg, NC.  Our school colors are black and gold.  We have a diverse population of over 500 students.

EBES offers daily enrichment classes in either Art, Music, PE, STEAM, or Technology.  We have recently opened our new STEAM Lab for students to learn the Engineering Design Process as they complete activities incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

Our full-time guidance counselor provides whole class activities as well as small group and individual time.

Panthers practice their Positive Behavior Daily to "Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe."  Students in all grades are each assigned a habitat: Desert, Rainforest, Mountains, Swamp or Woodlands.  Each team member works to earn points for their habitat team by making good choices and "going the extra mile."  Each month points are tallied and the winning habitat receives recognition as well as some type of treat.

Each member of our staff considers it a privilege to teach your child and we value each child as an individual.
