Kay Crickmore earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from NC Wesleyan University in Rocky Mount. She has been in the education field for 19 years. She has worked at Edward Best Elementary for 8 years, first as a second grade teacher and currently in the Special Education department.

Brittany Greene is from Franklin County and has built her life and career around her passion for helping children. With a B.S. in Social Work and a minor in Child Development, she now works as an Exceptional Children Teacher, where she dedicates her days to supporting students with unique needs for 13 years now.
Brittany takes pride in seeing her students’ growth each school year—not just academically, but socially and behaviorally as well. Watching those transformations unfold is one of the most rewarding parts of her work and a constant reminder of why she chose this path.
Outside of the classroom, Brittany is a proud mom to her son, who keeps her busy with his love for sports. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, creating memories, and finding balance between her career and personal life.

Ms. Fosness graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Speech-Language and Auditory Pathology and a Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from East Carolina University. After 18 years of providing speech-language therapy services to the adult population in various medical settings, Ms. Fosness moved to Franklin County Schools in 2014 to begin her role as Speech-Language Pathologist at Edward Best Elementary, Terrell Lane Middle School and Louisburg High School.
