Mrs. Amanda Cash graduated in 2000 from Louisburg College with her Associates Degree in Elementary Education. In 2002, she earned her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. After graduation, she got a job teaching 2nd grade at Edward Best Elementary. After that school year, she moved to Greenville, NC to continue her studies, earning her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. In August 2004, Mrs. Cash returned to Edward Best where she has taught both lower and upper elementary students and is in her twenty-first year of teaching.

Mrs. Duncan teaches 4th grade math and science at Edward Best Elementary School, the school she attended as a child. This is her 9th year teaching math/science. She is from Franklin County and feels this is the best place to be with the small town feel and the supportive community. Mrs. Duncan has a family that includes 2 little girls. She enjoys swimming and gardening in her free time.

Mrs. Joyner is a 4th grade math and science teacher at Edward Best. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from NC Wesleyan College in 2008. She has taught 4th and 5th grade since starting her teaching career in 2009. She has worked at Edward Best for the last 8 years teaching 4th grade. She is excited to continue her career as a FCS teacher during the 2024-2025 school year!!

Miniki Spivey is a graduate of UNC-Chapel with a B.A. in Management & Society and is currently pursuing licensure in elementary education. She was previously a long term sub at Edward Best for several years. Last year(2022-23) was her first year teaching and she will be returning for a second year as a fourth grade ELA/SS teacher.
